THE ACCUSATION
How do you prove a dead man lied?
Deacon Brodie has gone to the gallows. Before he died, he named you as his accomplice in an act of calculated spite. You know you had nothing to do with his crimes, but Edinburgh has your face in its newspaper and a reason to look for you.
Your adventure begins in the Vennel, beneath the castle. You must make your way into the Grassmarket and work out how to lift the curse Brodie has left behind. A useful object might be lying in plain sight; a conversation may be worth more than the coin it costs.
The city will not make it easy. You have only two pockets for useful objects, and some offers are better refused. A wrong turn can put you in front of someone who recognises you. Pay attention to what people say, and keep a safe place to return to before you take a risk.
The people you meet have lives and concerns of their own. You will have to decide whom to approach, what to ask and when to move on.
